"Nelson Rangell"

Although Nelson Rangell had released two CDs previous to this one, it was "Rain Forest", written and produced by Brian Keane, that put Nelson on the map, and drove this CD to sell more copies than the previous two combined. Ironically, it wasn't "Rain Forest" that originally brought Nelson and Brian Keane together. Nelson had approached Brian about his composition "Brazillia", which Brian had recorded with Larry Coryell nearly ten years earlier on a duo album entitled "Just Like Being Born". "Nelson Rangell" was a hit record, especially "Rain Forest", and was on the Billboard Jazz charts for a considerable amount of time.
