"Sanctuary:
20 Years Of Windham Hill"
Windham
Hill pioneered an entire style of music, and in the process became
one of the few labels with a real brand identity. On their 20th
anniversary, the original co-founder of Windham Hill, Ann Robinson,
put together a compilation of recordings that exemplify the "Windham
Hill sound". While Brian Keane only began working with Windham
Hill one and a half years before ownership changed hands, his
composition with Douglas Spotted Eagle "House Made Of Dawn Light"
is one of those recordings. The cut can also be found on Douglas
Spotted Eagle's solo recording "Closer
To Far Away". This CD was on billboards New Age charts for
more than a year.

"I haven't known Windham Hill for more than a few years,
however my interest in its post-ambient music is now very high.
Sanctuary contains an excellent variety of acoustic and electric
music, sounds that both calm me in relaxation and make my heart
rumble. I play oboe and I especially enjoy Ira Stein and Russel
Walder's 'Transit' and 'Underground' (the bonus track). I also
like the selections by Scott Cossu, Jim Brickman, and Øystein
Seväg."
